If you answered yes to either of the above questions, then your club probably hasn’t been attending our union meetings which are jam packed with that kind of information. To change that feeling, keep reading about the upcoming True South Pre-Season Meeting.

What: True South Fall Pre-Season Meeting
-We will be discussing all of the important information about this upcoming fall season. You won’t want to miss it.

When: August 24th from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM CST

How: Via Zoom Meeting-Link will be posted on the TS Website 24 hours prior to the meeting and posted in the Admin GroupMe Group. An email invite will also be going out from our union contact list, so if you don’t get that invite and would like to, feel free to send us an email to the TS email address below and we will add you to it.

Who: Attendance of all TS Member clubs is strongly encouraged (read as REQUIRED) and if a representative from your club cannot be in attendance, a proxy form should be filled out and emailed to truesouthrugby@gmail.com prior to the meeting which can be found at https://truesouthrugby.com/administration/meetings/

Just a reminder, the Winter AGM is Saturday, January 27th starting @ 9:00 AM (central time), please make sure your club is represented, or you have filled out the proxy form mentioned below. The meeting link will be posted on the Administration/meetings tab 24 hours prior.

Administration Program @ Comfort Inn Irondale, Birmingham, AL

Saturday, September 10 (8a – 12p)

This course covers governance, finance, membership, and marketing with an emphasis on recruiting. The goal is for each participant to “walk away” with a plan of action in each area – there is post-course homework. Program is instructed by Alex Sharland

Players Camp @ Ramsay Park, Birmingham, AL

Saturday, September 10 (12p – 6p) & Sunday, September 11 (9a – 11a)

The camp will be run by coaches that work with USA Rugby High Performance. There will be familiar faces if you came to the camp last year. The coaches will go over attack and defense principles and provide specialized positional breakout sessions. Please have your players take advantage of this opportunity. Your own coaches are welcome to attend and learn as well.

Also, new this year is a breakout session for beginners. Ask your newer players to choose this selection when registering.

The camp and admin program are being offered at substantially low prices ($10 & $5) thanks to our Union fronting most expenses. We will also reimburse half of your team’s hotel costs for Saturday night (Sept 10) for every filled room (so every 4 players attending). If you choose another hotel out of the block, the reimbursement will be up to half that rate. After the event, send me your hotel receipt(s), a point of contact, participant numbers, and an address to send the check (+who to make it out to). We’ll send 1 check per team.
